Green Juice: Full of antioxidants from my favorite vegetables and fruits, and omegas from flaxseed oil, I always start my morning out with this energizing drink.
Water: Drinking my body weight in ounces is what keeps my body working through the day. I like to flavor with fresh mint or lemon.
Probiotics: The good bacteria that we all have and need for intestinal tract and bowel health, the beneficial bacteria keep the bowel walls healthy, ]and block out many of the bad bacteria that can infect the intestines. A must to keep a strong immune system, I never miss my dose!
Coconut Water and Oil: During sweat sessions I replace my electrolytes with coconut water and add coconut oil to my morning juices for extra energy and to control my blood sugar levels throughout the day.
Yoga: With the daily stresses of life, balance is key. Yoga centers me on an emotional level. I need that so that I can be my best to not only myself, but my students, friends and family!
Sleep: A good night sleep of 7-8 hours on most nights! Good sleep improves memory, curbs inflammation, reduces overall stress, improves focus and contributes to a healthy body weight.
Laugh: They do say laughter is the best medicine...and I would agree! It triggers the release of endorphins, boosts the immune system and decreases stress hormones. That alone should make you smile!
Dark Chocolate: Aside from the incredible taste, studies show its good for brain function, full of antioxidants and good for your heart. Enough said!
Sunscreen: Not only does it prevent the development of wrinkles, but using sunscreen protects my skin from cancer. SPF 30 daily for me!
Sweat: A little sweat session always makes me feel great! Sometimes its just a walk in the neighborhood or a few sets of plank in my living room. The goal is to move a little every day!
